Squall's default stats are pretty much average. He doesn't specialize in a certain area like Rinoa with strength, or Irvine for Speen. He's an all-around type character, which doesn't really make it good or bad. He can, however, increase the damage on his attacks by pulling the trigger, which gives him a huge advantage.
